- Professionalism: Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the actuarial profession and the society.
Event Participation and public safety
ASSK may facilitate workshops, seminars, and networking activities. While these are designed for member benefit, please note:
- Voluntary Basis: Participation in all ASSK-organized activities is entirely voluntary.
- Assumption of Risk: Members are responsible for their own safety, health, and well-being. ASSK does not provide insurance coverage for individual participants; therefore, members must exercise due care during all society engagements.

- Usage Restrictions: Members are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use these materials for personal development only.
- Prohibitions: You may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit any ASSK content without express written authorization from the Executive Committee.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ASSK, its Board, Executives, and representatives shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, property damage, or personal injury sustained:
- During the course of any ASSK-organized event.
- As a result of your participation in any society-related activities.
- Through the use of information or resources provided by the society.
Termination and suspension of membership
ASSK reserves the unilateral right to suspend or terminate membership at its sole discretion under the following circumstances:
- A breach of these Terms and Conditions or the Society’s Constitution.
- Conduct deemed detrimental to the reputation, operations, or safety of the society and its members.
- Failure to meet any ongoing membership requirements (e.g., professional dues, if applicable).
Amendments and updates
ASSK reserves the right to modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect legal or operational changes.
- Review Policy: It is the member's responsibility to periodically review the most current version available on the official ASSK website.
- Implicit Acceptance: Continued participation in ASSK activities following the posting of changes constitutes your formal acceptance of the revised Terms.
